How to make bottle gourd barfi at home
Bottle Gourd Barfi is very easy to make.
Apart from desserts, festivals, you can also use it as a fruit food in fasting. Let's know its recipe
Lauki - 1 medium size
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Sugar (crushed) - as per taste
Mawa - 250 grams
Cashew nuts - 1/2 cup
Almonds - 1/2 cup
Cardamom - 4-5
First, wash and peel the bottle gourd and cut it and remove the seeds and pulp from inside.
Now you can also grate it or cut it into small pieces and grind it in a mixer.
After this press the paste of gourd and extract its juice.
Now heat a pan and put some ghee in it.
When the ghee becomes hot, add bottle gourd paste and mix it with the help of a spoon.
Cover and cook till the gourd becomes soft, but keep in mind that the gourd does not burn.
After 8-9 minutes, when the gourd is cooked well, then add powdered sugar to it and cook for 2 more minutes.
When the water from this mixer dries up, then add the remaining ghee to it and mix it well and cook for 2 minutes.
Now add mawa to it and mix it well so that the gourd and mawa become uniform.
Then add cardamom powder or crushed it and also add chopped cashews and almonds and mix it well.
Now put ghee in a big plate. Then spread this mixture in a plate and cut it into the shape of barfi.
Now your Bottle Gourd Barfi is ready. Keep it in the fridge for some time so that it gets solidified.
