Legendary Singer, Indian Nightingale, Bharat Ratna Award recipient Lata Mangeshkar has passed away this morning. 92-year-old Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on January 11 with minor symptoms. She was also diagnosed with pneumonia and was treated in the ICU by a special team of doctors led by Dr. Pratit Sandhani. Doctors said she had recovered from pneumonia along with her corona late last month. However, due to her age, the doctors kept her in the ICU and continued her treatment. Lataji’s health deteriorated again on Saturday afternoon in this order. Doctors tried to give her a better treatment. But unfortunately this morning she passed away.
According to Dr Pratit Sandhani of Breach Candy Hospital, Lata Mangeshkar died due to multi-organ failure. We have been treating Kovid Lataji for 28 days. She conquered Corona. However after Lataji several organs in Lataji’s body were damaged. She breathed her last due to multi-organ failure. Lataji’s health deteriorated at a time when everyone thought she was recovering well. Lataji died at 8.12am on Sunday. We offer our deepest condolences on her death. “
